Remembering Kayla Parker

I can still remember my formative years and boy let this blogger tell you, I had a pretty tough time. From the ever present peer pressure to fit in among the wrong crowds and much more, I managed to handle it in a special way.

Ms. Kayla Parker was KEY in helping me maintain my spiritual foundation back in the day. This Detroit native wrote, arranged and sung with some heavyweights such as Oleta Adams, Anthony Hamilton, The Winans and many more with her perfect harmonies and unique ear for music.

Sadly she lost her fight with breast cancer in 2007 but thankfully we have some great live performance and great recordings that can encourage even the most hardened person believe in themselves again.
