WHAM Fans Unite - George Michael Film Set for Showtime




Scores of George Michael fans had their hearts ripped out when news hit that the famed singer passed away last Christmas. Immediately after his death Michael's music topped the charts and buzz began concerning his legacy in music.


Showtime is getting into the documentary/film game almost immediately after the Whitney Houston - insert side eye - chronicle a few weeks ago. Anyway, peep the information regarding George Michael: Freedom. 






Set to premiere Saturday, October 21 at 9pm/8pm CST, the film, executive produced by Micheal along with David Austin and Lisa Johnson, will cover the singers impressive musical catalog, highs and lows and so much more. Concentration will focus on the trendsetting period of his life including the making of his most successful album Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1. The film will also go deeper into Michael's battle with his record company as well as delving into his personal life along with the how he dealt with the death of his partner Anselmo Feleppa.

Stocked with amazing footage, personal moments and narrated by the singer before his sudden death, special appearances are made by some of the most successful music artists ever such as Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, Nile Rogers, Tony Bennett and more. Also participating are super models Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, Tatjana Patitz and Linda Evangelista.
