Musical legend Dionne Warwick is getting some love - FINALLY - in the form of what some call biopics. The trendsetting songstress, who helped paved the way for artists that came after her including her famous cousin Whitney Houston, dropped the news while in Canne and the details are kind of impressive.
Playing Warwick is former Destiny's Child member Letoya Luckett who will showcase Warwick's professional battle with Cilla Black played by Lady Gaga. Also attached to the project is Danny Glover who is taking on the roll of Dionne's father Mancel and award winning actress as Olympia Dukakis as Warwick's longtime confidant Marlene Dietrich.
The project is set for production next year, directed by talented actor/director Mario Van Pebbles and will also showcase Luckett's vocal chops as she takes on singing Warwick's songs herself.
