Intimate Dr. Emily "Cissy" Houston Interview

This blogger is having a pretty hard time accepting the untimely passing of Iconic singer/actress Whitney Houston. Being that I am just a fan, one can only imagine the pain her intimate family members are facing during this trying time.

Whitney comes from some good musically talented stock with a family of singers that consist of her cousins Dionne & Dee Dee Warwick, The Drinkards and her equally talented mother Dr. Emily "Cissy" Houston among others.

Dr. Houston helped blaze the trail for some of the singers to come after her such as her daughter and many others by singing and performing with Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, Bette Midler, Barbara Streisand and recording the original version of Midnight Train To Georgia among others.

In fact, you can here her unique background vocals on such hits as Aint No Way and tons of background vocals on many of her daughters hit singles as well. Check out this inspirational and intimate interview where Dr. Houston shared her upbringing, her family, her famous daughter and much more.
